Teen girl charged in conspiracy plot to 'kill as many Jews as possible'

An 18-hear old North Carolina woman is being held on a 10 million bond after the FBI received information she was believed to be conspiring to attack a synagogue in Houston, Texas, according to authorities
Angelina Han Hicks, of Lexington, was arrested and chagred with felony conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon to kill or commit serious injury and felony conspiracy to commit murder, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office said.
Court records reviewed by ABC News detailed that Hicks plotted with two men, only known as "teegan" and "Angel," to attack the Congregation Beth Isreael synagogue. The two co-conspirators remain unidentified and have not been arrested.
"The conspiracy is to kill as many Jews as possible by driving through a congregation at the synagogue," prosecutors alleged.
The sheriff's office and FBI special agents arrested Hicks on Wednesday and hse made her first court appearance later that day. She is expected to appear in Davidson County District Court on May 12.
FBI Director Kash Patel said on social media the FBI received a tip on Tuesday that "an individual out of Lexington, North Carolina was planning a mass casualty events at a Jewish Day School near Houston, Texas." He said the quick work of the FBI field offices in Charlotte and Houston, along with the sheriff's office, "likely saved lives."
Hicks' father, who did not give his name, told WGHP that the charges against his daughter are "fabricated" and "way over the top."
"This is a good kid. She's been in school. She's supposed to graduate in two weeks, which she won't be able to do now," the father said.
"She's no threate to anyone other than being a fantasy video player," he added.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston wrote on Facebook that Beth Israel closed on Wednesday "out of an abundance of caution."
"The safety and security of the Houston Jewish community is of utmost importance to all of us," the federation wrote.
The arrest comes after an armed man crashed his pickup truck into a Michigan synagogue on March 12. The FBI confirmed the attack to be labeled as a "Hezbollah inspired act of terrorism" against Michigan's largest Jewish temple.
